Global status of chiropractic education research and scholarly publications: a scoping review.

Objective: This scoping review aimed to map the volume (number of studies) and nature (topics and designs) of chiropractic education research and scholarly publications on chiropractic learners and programs worldwide.

Introduction: Despite the expansion of the chiropractic profession and its recognition by entities such as the World Health Organization, a gap exists in comprehending the international landscape of chiropractic education. No prior studies have systematically mapped the volume and nature of chiropractic education research and scholarly publications.

Analysis of the chief complaints of older patients seeking chiropractic care at a teaching clinic and potential implications for clinical education.

Objective:: To describe the chief complaints of people older than 65 years who seek chiropractic care at a chiropractic teaching clinic and assess the case mix available at the clinic.

Methods:: One hundred patient files were included in this study. Patient files were included if the patient was older than 65 years when he or she initiated care at the teaching clinic.

Radiographic anomalies that may alter chiropractic intervention strategies found in a New Zealand population.

Objective: To provide occurrence rates for anomalies discovered on radiographs in patients seeking chiropractic care.

Methods: One thousand four random patient files dated between 1997 and 2001 were obtained from the records of the outpatient clinic at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. In cases in which radiographs were taken, the radiographic reports were analyzed by the authors for the presence of a number of anomalies.
