Management of hemotherapy services in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aimed to analyze the management of hemotherapy services (HS) in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of municipal managers in different regions of Brazil. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews was applied to HS managers in the three Brazilian capitals, from different regions of Brazil, during the period between September 2021 and April 2022. The textual content of the interviews was submitted to lexicographic textual analysis using the free access software, Iramuteq.

Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on health surveillance work.

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged managers and exposed weaknesses in health systems. In Brazil, the pandemic emerged amid difficulties to work in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and in health surveillance (HS). The purpose of this article is to analyze the effects of COVID-19 on the organization, working conditions, management, and performance of HS, according to the perception of capital city managers from three regions of Brazil.

Social distancing measures and demands for the reorganization of hemotherapy services in the context of Covid-19.

The article aims to discuss the consequences of social distancing measures on the availability of blood and organization of blood therapy services at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. News published in April 2020 on the websites of the country's state Blood Service Networks were consulted and organized in an Excel spreadsheet, presented in summary charts, and descriptions of results were prepared. A critical situation of blood supply, especially of some blood types, has been observed in many states.

The (re)construction of own identity in nurses' work in Brazil: exploratory study.

Objective: To analyse a professional trajectory and how identity conformations of a group of nurses in professional practice in Brazil.

Methods: Qualitative study that used the in-depth interviews with nurses in professional practice from 1998 to 2014. Seven nurses working in the various organizational areas of the health systems participated and 3 nurses working in educational and research institutions.

[Scientific output on health systems management: a study carried out in Web space (1987-2009)].

The objective of this study is to characterize Brazilian/Latin American scientific output in the "field" of health and on health systems management specifically, based on work registered on the Lilacs database in the period from 1987 to 2009. The terms "health management" and "health systems", identified in the BVS/Bireme "Health Science Descriptors" were used and 1,544 works were identified, of which 298 were selected (19.3%).

[Assistance for the adolescent victim of violence: participation of local health managers].

This qualitative study aimed at analyzing the participation of the local health managers in the assistance provided to the adolescent victim of violence in the city of Itabuna, Bahia, Brazil. Specific objectives of this study were: to identify how the local health managers perceive violence and its repercussions in adolescence; to identify the public healthcare policies directed to the adolescent implanted by the health system of Itabuna-BA, focusing on violence and on the actions developed by the local health managers toward an effective implantation of these policies. The data collected from interviews and documents were analyzed using the technique of content analysis.
