Objective: To present the experience and results of the reregistration of residents in Foz do Iguaçu, a border town located in the state of Paraná, Brazil, to meet the guidelines of the national Primary Health Care (PHC) Policy and its new financing model ().

Method: A scanning strategy (convenience sample) was used for data collection, with 52 263 households visited and 22 710 interviews conducted from September to November 2019. The interviews were conducted face-to-face by 54 community health workers.

In view of the expanded view of health proposed by the Unified Health System (SUS), the approach given to the illness process required a prism focused on the biopsychosocial view and no longer on the biomedical model, which led to a reorganization in the training of health professionals. Thus, the National Curriculum Guidelines were established guiding the pedagogical projects of the courses towards the biopsychosocial model, so that the International Classification of Functionality, Disability and Health contributes to this scenario through its multidimensional and non-reductionist approach. However, physiotherapy has historically been strongly influenced by the biomedical model, distancing it from primary care (PC).

Background: Studies have shown an association between depression and frailty, even though the literature has not reached a consensus regarding how these syndromes interact. Although prospective cohort studies on this topic are still scarce, they could contribute to understanding this relationship. The aim of the present study was to evaluate factors associated with falls in community-dwelling older adults diagnosed with cataracts. An analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of community-dwelling older adults residing in the Federal District of Brazil. Interviews and assessment tools were administered, such as the Timed Up and Go test, Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), Biodex Balance System, Katz Index, Lawton Scale, Minnesota Leisure Time Physical Activity Questionnaire and Mini Mental State Examination.

Methods: Data were extracted from the SABE Study (Saúde, Bem-estar e Envelhecimento - Health, Welfare and Aging), which were performed in 2000 and 2006. The sample consisted of 2004 (1,355 living and 649 dead) older adults.

This study aimed to analyze the association between mortality and marital status in the elderly population (60 years and older) in São Paulo, Brazil. The authors used data from the SABE Study (Health, Well-Being, and Aging) from 2000 and 2006. Statistical analysis used Poisson regression, considering variation in time of mortality risk.
