The Schoenlein-Henoch purpura is a vascular disease that affects blood vessels and/or capillaries. It usually occurs in children, particulary male, between 2 and 8 years of age. The clinical presentation is characterized by purple spots on the skin, joint pain, gastrointestinal symptoms, and kidney disorders.
