Objective: To compare the accuracy of INTERGROWTH-21 (IG-21) versus Hadlock1 formulae for birth weight prediction on third-trimester ultrasound in a North American population.

Methods: This single-centre retrospective cohort study included all pregnant patients who had a third-trimester ultrasound between 34 and 36 weeks gestation and delivered a term singleton at our maternal-fetal medicine reference centre between April 1 and July 30, 2019. Estimated ultrasound fetal weight was calculated with both Hadlock1 and IG-21 formulae for each fetus, then reported on a centile curve to adjust for gestational age at delivery, and compared with the actual birth weight.

Background: The Ponseti method of serial manipulation and casting revolutionized the treatment of one of the most common congenital orthopaedic conditions-clubfoot-resulting in less surgical morbidity and better functional results. Several studies have examined aspects of nonoperative treatment but none have explored the effect of different types of undercast padding.

A clinical study was made into the abilities of nicarbazin and monensin and a nicarbazin + monensin combination to control , , and in chickens. When included in the feed, at concentrations of 40 ppm nicarbazin or 40 ppm monensin, these products showed partial efficacy evaluated by daily weight gain (DWG) but no activity judged by daily feed intake (DFI) or feed conversion ratio (FCR). By contrast, the combination of 40 ppm nicarbazin + 40 ppm monensin provided complete control of infection judged by greater DWG and DFI, and lower FCR.

We demonstrate that perturbative expansions for quantum many-body systems can be rephrased in terms of tensor networks, thereby providing a natural framework for interpolating perturbative expansions across a quantum phase transition. This approach leads to classes of tensor-network states parametrized by few parameters with a clear physical meaning, while still providing excellent variational energies. We also demonstrate how to construct perturbative expansions of the entanglement Hamiltonian, whose eigenvalues form the entanglement spectrum, and how the tensor-network approach gives rise to order parameters for topological phase transitions.

We study the entanglement structure of lattice gauge theories from the local operational point of view, and, similar to Soni and Trivedi [J. High Energy Phys. 1 (2016) 1], we show that the usual entanglement entropy for a spatial bipartition can be written as the sum of an undistillable gauge part and of another part corresponding to the local operations and classical communication distillable entanglement, which is obtained by depolarizing the local superselection sectors.

Background: In the United States, 5% of the population is responsible for nearly half of all health care expenditures, with a large concentration of spending driven by individuals with expensive chronic conditions in their last year of life. Outpatient palliative care under the Medicare Hospice Benefit excludes a large proportion of the chronically ill and there is widespread recognition that innovative strategies must be developed to meet the needs of the seriously ill while reducing costs.

We prove an upper bound on the maximal rate at which a Hamiltonian interaction can generate entanglement in a bipartite system. Affinities of the compounds at human α(2) and α(1b) receptors as well as their functional activities at hα(2A) receptors were determined in competition binding and G-protein activation assays, respectively. Necrotic enteritis poses an important health risk to broilers. The ionophore anticoccidials lasalocid, salinomycin, maduramicin, narasin and a combination of narasin and nicarbazin were tested in feed for their prophylactic effect on the incidence of necrotic enteritis in a subclinical experimental infection model that uses coccidia as a predisposing factor. In addition, drinking water medication with the antibiotics amoxicillin, tylosin and lincomycin was evaluated as curative treatment in the same experimental model.

F15063 (N-[(2,2-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-7-yloxy)-ethyl]-(3-cyclopenten-1-yl-benzyl)-amine) is a potential antipsychotic with dopamine D2/D3 receptor antagonist, 5-HT1A receptor agonist and dopamine D4 receptor partial agonist properties. Herein, we compared its effects on rat ventral tegmental area dopamine and dorsal raphe serotonin electrical activity with those of the dopamine D2 receptor partial agonist/5-HT1A receptor agonist, SSR181507. Further, we investigated the modulation of extracellular dopamine and noradrenaline in the medial prefrontal cortex and serotonin in the hippocampus of freely moving rats by F15063 using in vivo microdialysis.

Two groups of five 1-day-old conventional turkeys were housed in negative pressure stables to become experimentally infected with Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) and Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) at the age of 3 weeks.
