Background: Mandible can be the site of benign or malignant lesions of different origins, including odontogenic and non-odontogenic lesions. Cartilage-forming tumors have been rarely reported at this site. Chondrosarcoma is a rare malignant cartilage-producing neoplasm that is extremely rare in the mandible.

Thyroid abscess is an extremely rare condition. Its diagnosis is often late, which predisposes to serious complications. We report a case of thyroid abscess in a young adult who presented to the emergency room for a basi-cervical swelling associated with dysphonia, dysphagia and dyspnea.

Calcified wall portal venous aneurysm: a case report.
