[The role of mortuary staff in dealing with families].

The mortuary is a hospital department dealing with people who die in the hospital and providing support to their friends and family. It therefore provides continuity of care. From the moment the deceased person's body arrives at the mortuary to the point at which it leaves the hospital, mortuary staff prepare the deceased's body before it is presented to his/her loved ones, and contribute to medical and technical tasks (samples, autopsies, etc.
