Parents with borderline personality disorder (BPD) experience deficiencies in parenting skills leading to increased family burden, stress, mental health problems in children and even family violence. The present study evaluated a Dutch version of the parenting training based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for mothers with BPD. A multiple baseline single-case experimental design study was conducted with standardized and idiosyncratic assessments of parenting behavior and parental stress before, biweekly during, and after training.

Using dental profiling techniques, we can determine the age, sex, and population of the individual and gather data about their socio-economic status, personal habits, oral and systemic health, occupation, nutrition, family relationships, and psychological characteristics. The research aims to gain insights into the diet, health, socio-economic status, and demography of the Late Iron Age inhabitants of Illyrian origin who lived on the Croatian island of Korcula.

Empowering Veterinary Herd Health Management: Insights into Education, Implementation, and Regulation Across Europe.

In recent years, integrated veterinary herd health management (VHHM), improving animal health, welfare, food safety, public health, farm management, and economics, has become ever-more important in the European Union due to structural and regulatory advancements. A mixed-methods study analyzed the current state and gaps in VHHM education and training across Europe. Data from 41 European veterinary institutions showed that 83% ( = 34/41) offered VHHM education, either as standalone courses and/or integrated into other subjects.

FLEXIBLE URETERORENOSCOPY AND LASER LITHOTRIPSY IN A PATIENT WITH A STONE IN THE TRANSPLANTED KIDNEY: A CASE REPORT.

We report a case of a 31-year-old patient with obstructive ureterolithiasis in a transplanted kidney, treated endoscopically with flexible ureterorenoscopy and laser lithotripsy. The patient presented with biochemical signs of acute renal failure and ultrasonographically detected hydronephrosis. Emergency nonenhanced computed tomography scan revealed an obstructive 5-mm stone in the ureter of the transplanted kidney with resulting hydronephrosis.

The EIROS study assessed the real-world impact of velaglucerase alfa on GD1 bone disease, using MRI data collected in French clinical practice. : MRIs collected retrospectively from treatment initiation and prospectively during follow-up (12-months) were analyzed centrally by a blinded expert radiologist to evaluate bone infiltration using the Bone Marrow Burden (BMB) score and a qualitative method (stable, improved or worsened for the spine and femur).

Introduction: We examined the association of long-term exposure to air pollution and road traffic noise with dementia incidence in the Danish Nurse Cohort.

Methods: Female nurses were followed for dementia incidence (hospital contact or medication prescription) from 1993/1999 to 2020. Air pollution and road traffic noise levels were estimated at nurses' residences, and their associations with dementia were examined using Cox regression models.

Long-Term Exposure to Air Pollution and Risk of Acute Lower Respiratory Infections in the Danish Nurse Cohort.

Air pollution is a major risk factor for chronic cardiorespiratory diseases, affecting the immune and respiratory systems' functionality, but epidemiological evidence in respiratory infections remains sparse. We aimed to assess the association of long-term exposure to ambient air pollution with the risk of developing new and recurrent acute lower respiratory infections (ALRIs), characterized by persistently severe symptoms necessitating hospital contact, and identify the potential susceptible populations by socioeconomic status, smoking, physical activity status, overweight, and comorbidity with chronic lung disease. Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome (HGPS) is a severe premature ageing disorder caused by a 50 amino acid truncated (Δ50AA) and permanently farnesylated lamin A (LA) mutant called progerin. On a cellular level, progerin expression leads to heterochromatin loss, impaired nucleocytoplasmic transport, telomeric DNA damage and a permanent growth arrest called cellular senescence. Although the genetic basis for HGPS has been elucidated 20 years ago, the question whether the Δ50AA or the permanent farnesylation causes cellular defects has not been addressed.

We start by outlining the benefits of studying within-person mechanisms and propose how statistical mediation analysis and single-case methods can be integrated to enable this type of research.

When practicing high-quality leader-member exchange (LMX) theory, the leader's ability to communicate, build and maintain relationships is a vital part. Because leader-member exchange theory is a relationship-based approach to leadership that primarily includes social exchange and communication on a daily basis, we can highlight linguistic intelligence as a key leadership skill that is part of the multiple intelligences defined by Howard Gardner. The goal of this article was to conduct research into organizations where the leader applies LMX theory and examine whether the leader's linguistic intelligence is positively related to the quality of the leader-member exchange.

The effectiveness of interventions for internalizing disorders in children and adolescents was studied using a review and meta-analysis of published single-case research. Databases and other resources were searched for quantitative single-case studies in youth with anxiety, depressive, and posttraumatic stress disorders.
