This article presents a case of a dorsal trigger wrist, which was brought on by a rupture of the fibro-osseous septum of the second extensor compartment. This situation is highly uncommon and has not been previously documented. The septum, which divides the extensor carpi radialis brevis and the extensor carpi radialis longus on the second extensor compartment, is present in almost 45% of the population.

We report a rare case of a late periprosthetic femoral stress fracture around a cemented stem in a patient with a history of fibrous dysplasia of the proximal femur. After a 10-year uneventful period, the patient complained about a subtle, subacute pain in his left thigh induced by exercise but not with daily axial load.

There are cases with unstable injuries or unacceptable reductions, in which surgical resolution by reduction and stabilisation with percutaneous elastic endomedullary nailing is indicated. One of the advantages of this system is that it avoids an approach to the fracture site, allowing closed reduction in the vast majority of fractures.
