Objectives: To illustrate incidental F-FDG PET-CT findings and related CT alterations of suspicious pulmonary interstitial involvement in asymptomatic oncologic patients during the first COVID-19 outbreak in the core of Italian peak.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the F-FDG PET-CT follow-up examinations performed during the first Italian COVID-19 outbreak (March 3rd-April 15th, 2020) in 10 asymptomatic oncologic patients with a highly suspicious interstitial pulmonary involvement on CT. Six cases were confirmed SARS-CoV-2 by molecular tests.

In this review, the performance of fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in the diagnostic workup of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is evaluated. A comprehensive literature search up to September 2020 was performed, selecting studies with the presence of: sample size ≥10 patients and index test (i.e.

Elderly Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is an aggressive lymphoma subgroup with high 18F-FDG avidity at 18F-FDG-PET/CT but no shared criteria for PET/CT in treatment evaluation and prediction of outcome are available. The aim of our bicentric study was to investigate whether the metabolic baseline PET/CT parameters can predict treatment response and prognosis in elderly HL. We retrospectively included 123 patients who underwent baseline 18F-FDG-PET/CT and end of treatment PET/CT scans.

Endometrial cancer is the most common malignancy in some developed countries, with an estimated 102 423 new cases reported in 2015. Isolated mediastinal lymph node recurrence has not been reported previously in this setting. We report a 78-year-old woman with an isolated lymph node recurrence in the mediastinal aortic region detected 5 years after her initial surgical treatment and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy.

Aim: The aim of this bicentric retrospective study was to assess the diagnostic performance, the prognostic value, the incremental prognostic value and the impact on therapeutic management of F-FDG PET/CT in patients with suspected recurrent germinal cell testicular carcinoma (GCT).

Materials And Methods: From the databases of two centers including 31,500 F-FDG PET/CT oncological studies, 114 patients affected by GCT were evaluated in a retrospective study. All 114 patients underwent F-FDG PET/CT for suspected recurrent disease.

Purpose: The purpose of our study was 1) to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT), 2) to assess the impact of FDG PET/CT on treatment decision-making, and 3) to estimate the prognostic value of FDG PET/CT in the restaging process among patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Methods: From the FDG PET/CT databases of San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy, and the Veneto Institute of Oncology in Padua, Italy, we selected 104 patients with a certain diagnosis of RCC after surgery, and for whom at least 24 months of post-surgical FDG PET/CT, clinical, and instrumental follow-up data was available. The sensitivity and specificity of FDG PET/CT were assessed by histology and/or other imaging as standard of reference.
