Fighting type 2 diabetes and its high risk of CVD, lifestyle intervention with diet and exercise is of uttermost importance. Epidemiological studies strongly suggest an inverse association between increased physical activity, moderate alcohol drinking and the incidence of both type 2 diabetes and CVD.
