Introduction: The western French Guiana hospital (Chog) is atypical. - The study aimed to estimate the prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) infections in western French Guiana through a 2017 retrospective study.
- Prevalence rates revealed that 24.3% of women and 12.0% of men had CT, while 13.3% of women and 7.3% of men had NG, with younger women and those with lower education levels at increased risk.
- The findings indicate a high prevalence of infections and suggest the need for a large-scale screening strategy to address these public health concerns in the region.
