Background: Intradermal allergen testing (IDT) and allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT) remain underrated in feline dermatology.
Hypothesis/objectives: The objectives of this retrospective study were to report the results of IDT and the effects of ASIT on the medication needs in a population of 158 cats diagnosed with feline atopic skin syndrome (FASS).
Materials And Methods: FASS was diagnosed after the exclusion of other pruritic conditions.
Introduction: X-linked intellectual developmental disorder is clinically and genetically heterogeneous. The ubiquitin specific peptidase 27 X-linked gene (USP27X) has been associated with X-linked intellectual developmental disorder, and only 17 affected males have been described in the literature to date.
Case Report: A 6-year-old boy was assessed due to intellectual developmental disability, language delay, behavioural disorder, microcephaly and particular features.
Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and PAS kinase (PASK) control glucose and energy homeostasis according to nutritional status. Thus, both glucose availability and GLP-1 lead to hepatic glycogen synthesis or degradation. We used a murine model to discover whether PASK mediates the effect of exendin-4 (GLP-1 analogue) in the adaptation of hepatic glycogen metabolism to nutritional status.

Both tests are based on a PCR technique and designed for simultaneous identification of different mycobacterial species by reverse hybridization and line probe technology. The INNO-LiPA Mycobacteria v2 targeting the 16S-23S rRNA gene spacer region was developed for the simultaneous identification of 16 different mycobacterial species.
