Experiences of midwifery students in caring for pregnancy loss. A phenomenological study.

Aim: To analyze the experiences of midwifery students in the care of pregnancy loss during their training.

Background: The care of pregnancy losses requires the acquisition of very specific non-technical skills by midwifery students. The training received by students about gestational grief requires the use of different methodologies to obtain the required skills.

Effectiveness of Training in Evidence-Based Practice on the Development of Communicative Skills in Nursing Students: A Quasi-Experimental Design.

Background: Communication skills (CSs) and evidence-based practice (EBP) are key foundations for offering personalized and quality nursing care. CS that results in open communication is fundamental for applying EBP.

Objectives: The objective of the study was to assess the relationship between the acquisition of EBP competencies and learning CS after taking an EBP course in the nursing degree.

Exploring How Evidence-Based Practice, Communication, and Clinical Simulation Outcomes Interact in Nursing Education: A Cross-Sectional Study.

(1) Background: Clinical simulation is an educational approach that aims to replicate real-life scenarios. Its primary goal is to help nursing students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively in clinical settings. This study focuses on the relationship between communication skills, evidence-based practice (EBP), and clinical simulation.

Perineal protection methods: knowledge and use.

Objective: To analyse the knowledge and use of perineal protection methods during the expulsive stage by health professionals involved in childbirth and whether they correspond to the World Health Organization's recommendations.

Method: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study aimed at health workers involved in births in Spain.

Results: Fifty-seven professionals participated in the study: midwives (47%), gynaecologists (25%), nurse residents (14%) and resident physicians (14%) in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Background: Perinatal death (PD) is a painful experience, with physical, psychological and social consequences in families. Each year, there are 2.7 million perinatal deaths in the world and about 2000 in Spain.
