Transmission of the bacilli occurs by nasal and oropharyngeal secretions, and through solutions of continuity of the skin and/or mucosae.

Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris (PRP) is a chronic and rare papulosquamous disorder. Treatment of Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris is based on empiric evidence because of several doubts regarding its etiology and also because of its relative rarity, making randomized studies difficult to perform. Some factors suggest that the metabolism of vitamin A is involved in pathogenesis.

Sarcoidosis is a chronic idiopathic disorder characterized by the accumulation of mononuclear phagocytes with the formation of noncaseating granulomas in multiple organs. Cutaneous involvement occurs in 20-25% of cases and specific and nonspecific lesions are observed. We reported a rare case of umbilicated papular sarcoidosis with pulmonary involvement.
