The use of warm mix asphalt (WMA) and reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) technologies presents challenges in optimizing binder activation and mechanical performance in asphalt mixtures. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of three WMA additives (sunflower oil, WarmGrip®, and natural zeolite) and different RAP contents (30% and 70%) on the rheological and mechanical properties of recycled asphalt mixtures. The research focused on assessing the degree of RAP binder activation, determining the extent of partial activation, and analyzing the impact on tensile strength, moisture resistance, modulus, fatigue life, and deformation resistance.

This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the association between the consumption of healthy and unhealthy food markers among adolescents enrolled in the ninth grade of elementary school in municipal public schools and the food environment around the schools in two municipalities of different sizes, located in Southern Brazil. The data were collected between 2022 and 2023, with 449 adolescent participants. Of these, 347 were students from the municipality of Florianópolis, and 102 were students from the municipality of Governador Celso Ramos, all aged between 13 and 17 years.

The yellow-footed tortoise (Chelonoidis denticulatus, Linnaeus, 1766) is among the most consumed chelonian species in the Amazon region, raising concerns about its conservation status. Furthermore, few studies have been carried out on the parameters of physiological normality of this species in free-living conditions, making it difficult to assess the impact of environmental changes on the physiology of the group. Vacuous chewing movements (VCM) have been utilized as an experimental model of orofacial dyskinesia (OD) in rodents to study the underlying molecular mechanisms related to tardive dyskinesia (TD). This study aimed to investigate if the acute treatment with haloperidol can alter components of the dopaminergic synapse or its modulators such as glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) and adenosine 2A (A) receptor. As a downstream signaling molecule for nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain 1 (NOD1), NOD2, and Toll-like receptors (TLRs), it is implicated in the signaling triggered by recognition of microbe-associated molecular patterns by NOD1/2 and TLRs. Upon activation of these innate immune receptors, RIPK2 mediates the release of pro-inflammatory factors by activating mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB).
