[Epicondylitis: etiology, pathogenesis and therapy].

Epicondilites are pathologies poorly understood from the aetiopathogenetic point of view. In this regard, many hypotheses have been considered and numerous anatomical structures are involved. Current therapeutic options are either conservative or surgical.

The use of pre-contoured plates in the treatment of C2-C3 fractures of the distal humerus: clinical experience.

Open reduction and internal fixation is the treatment of choice in distal humerus fractures. The aims of the treatment are to obtain anatomic reconstruction and restoration of the elbow's geometry followed by stable internal fixation that allows immediate rehabilitation. The plates are pre-contoured to fit the natural anatomy of the elbow and in the case of complex fractures they provide a guide for the anatomic restoration of the distal humerus.

Spontaneous healing of an avulsed ischial tuberosity in a young football player. A case report.

There is a paucity of orthopaedic literature describing avulsion of the ischial tuberosity, but its spontaneous healing does not seem to have been reported to-date. This article describes the case of a young football player who suffered an avulsion fracture of the ischial tuberosity while kicking vigorously next to the ball during a football match. The diagnosis was not made at the time of trauma, and the fracture was found five years later to have healed spontaneously.
