Objective: To evaluate Dydrogesterone's effectiveness in PPOS protocols for IVF/ICSI or oocyte cryopreservation, focusing on LH surge suppression and metaphase II oocyte yield.
Methods: A retrospective, comparative, single-center study of 550 IVF/ICSI and 186 oocyte cryopreservation cycles was conducted from January 2018 to December 2020. Exclusion criteria included endometriosis, previous ovarian surgery, ovarian insufficiency, and abnormal FSH/LH levels.
The possibility of inducing structural crosslinking and densification of plasma-deposited SiO networks by controlling low-energy reaction mechanisms was investigated. For this, films were deposited for 300 s from HMDSO (2%), O (86%) and Ar (12%) mixtures at a working pressure of 15.7 Pa.

However, the short-term memory of two-terminal memristor-based reservoirs limits the duration of the temporal inputs, resulting in more reservoir outputs per sample for classification. Additionally, forecasting requires multiple devices (20-25) for the prediction of a single time step, and long-term forecasting requires the reintroduction of forecasted data as new input, increasing system complexity and costs.

Genetically improved farmed tilapia (GIFT) is a strain of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) developed for improved production and commercial parameters. Skin color, one of the characteristics distinguishing tilapia varieties, is an important phenotypic trait associated with qualitative and productive performance. This study aimed to assess fillet and skin characteristics in GIFT Nile tilapia with black and red skin phenotypes.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death worldwide. Patients with CAD exhibit increased levels of kynurenine (KYN) pathway (KP) metabolites, which are key products of tryptophan (TRP) catabolism and have been identified as predictive markers for cardiovascular events and atherosclerosis progression. However, the effects of exercise on KP metabolites and their influence on atherosclerosis and inflammation in these patients remain poorly understood.

However, these herds are primarily located in the semi-arid region and face significant losses due to fetal and perinatal mortality, frequently linked to the consumption of teratogenic toxic plants during pregnancy. This study investigated the clinical and epidemiological aspects related to abortions and malformations in 80 small ruminant farms in the semi-arid region of Brazil.

ECM remodeling is a key feature of cancer progression, but the identification of specific therapeutic targets within this compartment remains challenging. Recent studies suggest a link between increased desmoplastic stroma and malignancy in NSCLC, the role of ECM proteins in disease pathogenesis remains unclear.

Originating from the synthesis of chloroquine, their discovery led to nalidixic acid, the first quinolone analog to exhibit antibacterial activity, catalyzing the development of fluoroquinolones. Beyond their role as antibiotics, 4-quinolone derivatives have emerged as versatile scaffolds with demonstrated antitumor, antiviral, and antiparasitic activities, among others.

Firstly, the performance of these electrodes was evaluated in comparison to 3D-printed electrodes produced employing a commercially available conductive filament. After a simple pretreatment step (mechanical polishing), the new 3D-printed electrodes presented better performance than the electrodes produced from commercial filament in relation to peak-to-peak separation of the redox probe [Fe(CN)]/ (130 mV and 759 mV, respectively), charge transfer resistance (R = 1.

Background And Aims: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the mental health of healthcare professionals, especially those working in Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS), which are crucial services in the Brazilian mental health system. This study aimed to investigate the association between job satisfaction, workload, and psychological distress among CAPS professionals during the pandemic.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 53 professionals from seven CAPS.

Purpose: We compared the immediate and sustained effects of 500 mL of crystalloid administered at slow (333 mL/h) versus fast rates (999 mL/h) on mean arterial pressure (MAP) in critically ill patients.
Materials And Methods: Hemodynamic variables were collected immediately before and every 30 min up to 60 min after the end of the infusion. The primary outcome was the adjusted difference in MAP.

Introduction: Telemedicine, propelled by recent technological advancements, has transformed healthcare delivery, notably benefiting patients with chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus. This meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials aimed to assess the efficacy of telehealth-based interventions on disease control rates and clinical parameters among NCD patients, including systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP and DBP), fasting blood glucose (FBG), and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels.
Methods: We conducted searches in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Database for interventional studies that compared tele-monitoring with usual care in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The present study investigates VKINE, a bioactive proteolytic fragment of the proteoglycan VCAN, as a novel and significant element in the tumor extracellular matrix (ECM). Although VKINE has been recognized for its immunomodulatory potential in certain tumor types, its impact on ECM degradation and prognostic implications remains poorly understood. : This study aimed to evaluate VCAN proteolysis and its association with ADAMTS enzymes involved in extracellular matrix remodeling in spontaneous canine mammary gland cancer.

Toxoplasmosis presents notable hazards in the context of pregnancy, impacting the health of the mother and the neurodevelopment of the fetus via immune reactions and possible vertical transmission. The maternal immune response from chronic Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) infection may negatively influence fetal neurodevelopment.

Background/aim: Lung cancer accounts for the largest percentage of cancer deaths worldwide, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) being the predominant type. Gefitinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), has shown marked efficacy in NSCLC patients with an EGFR mutation. However, gefitinib resistance because of ABCG2 polymorphisms such as rs2231142(421C > A) might limit its clinical use.

Insufficient quality of the underlying cause of death in the Brazilian Mortality Information System (SIM), acronym in Portuguese underlists violence and it is necessary to redistribute garbage causes (GC) into valid causes in public health prevention. This study estimated mortality from external causes using the GC redistribution method (GBD-Brazil) and compared it with SIM and estimated data from the GBD-IHME study from 2010 to 2019 in Brazil and its states. The GBD-Brazil GC redistribution algorithm applies previous steps of the GBD-IHME with modifications, using two criteria: proportion of target causes (valid) or reclassification of investigated causes.

We have studied repositioning of carvedilol (an antihypertensive drug) incorporated into MCM-41 mesoporous silica. The repositioning proposes a reduction in the slow pace of discovery of new drugs, as well as toxicological safety and a significant reduction in high research costs, making it an attractive strategy for researchers and large pharmaceutical companies. We obtained MCM-41 bysynthesis and functionalized it by post-synthesis grafting with aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) only or with folic acid (FA), which gave MCM-41-APTES and MCM-41-APTES-FA, respectively.
