Purpose: The Wheelchair Skills Training Program (WSTP) is underutilized in pediatrics for training manual wheelchair skills because the voluminous manual lacks pediatric specificity and no materials adapted for pediatric manual wheelchair users (PMWUs) are available. A set of resources (storybook, posters, training workbook) based on the WSTP has previously been developed for training basic indoor wheelchair skills with five to 15-year-old PMWUs. Occupational therapists (OTs) and PMWUs expressed a need for additional resources addressing higher-level skills.

Unlabelled: The aim of the study is to compare de results of the bone scintigraphy of prostate cancer patients in different age groups with their total PSA (PSAt) and with their histopathological test results. MATERIALS AND METODS: Of the 180 patients with prostate cancer who were analyzed by Scintiscan in the last five years in our laboratory, 86 have a known PSAt value, and of these, 55 have a known Gleason Score. The 180 patients were divided into three age groups: (1) < or equal 60 years; (2) 60-70 years and (3) >70 years.

Pulmonary embolism is a cause of death and the most common pathological condition involving the lungs of hospitalized patients. Early detection can rise prognosis of survival. In this case presented below, a patient suspected of pulmonary embolism was sent to our department, for assessing the lung perfusion, performing the pulmonary perfusion scintigram with 99mTc-MAA for establishing a diagnosis.

The esophageal scintigraphy is a technique used to evaluate the motility and the clearance of the esophagus. The patients with achalasia of the cardia were evaluated, before treating them with pneumatic dilatation and after. The reason is to evaluate the efficiency of the pneumatic dilatation technique in the treatment of esophageal achalasia.
