Background: The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has necessitated a rapid transition to digitally augmented education, generating a phenomenon that is unprecedented in the history of university education of healthcare professionals. The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of online teaching on the learning of students of the Master's Degree, to collect the significant elements of their experience and stimulate reflection on teaching practices.

Objective: To describe perceptions and experiences of nurses and midwives in the Master's degree on digitally augmented learning during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Background: Alexithymia is likely to be involved in the pain experience of cancer patients, but the extent to which psychological interventions may modify both pain and alexithymia is unclear.

Methods: A group of 52 consecutive cancer patients were enrolled in a 6-month multicomponent psychological intervention trial, and compared to 52 control patients who received standard medical care. Validated scales for pain, alexithymia, coping with disease, illness behavior, psychological distress, and psychosocial functioning were administered at baseline and 6 months later.

The paper discusses opinions on medical errors from the scientific literature and from a survey on 173 medical doctors working in a large hospital (> 500 beds) in Rome (Italy). The study is meant to explore doctors' opinions on professional and/or system responsibility in front of errors. In our hypothesis doctors are more favourable to attribute responsibility to individual carers rather than to institutions, and they are interested in solutions involving relational and communicational enhancements more than in technological or systemic innovations for risk management.
