  • Direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) help treat hepatitis C, but some patients have a harder time getting better, especially if they are hospitalized during treatment.
  • The study looked at patients treated for hepatitis C to see if being in the hospital affected their chances of getting better 12 weeks later.
  • Results showed that hospitalized patients had lower rates of getting better compared to those who weren't hospitalized, but the difference was less important when considering those who passed away during treatment.

For health systems, identifying an effective strategy to reduce COPD readmissions has remained difficult. Multiple COPD care bundles have been developed with varying degrees of success.

Purpose: The Delphi method was used to develop best practice recommendations (BPR) for safe use of pulmonary hypertension (PH) pharmacotherapies and to describe the pharmacist's role in provision of care.

Methods: A core group reviewed PH medication-safety literature and developed initial BPR. Pharmacists practicing at PH-accredited Centers of Comprehensive Care who met defined PH expert criteria were invited to participate on an expert panel.
