["The fact that there are more women doesn't guarantee anything": the feminization of obstetrics and gynecology and the experiences of female medical professionals in Mexico].

In the framework of an increasing feminization of the medical profession in Mexico, this article explores the characteristics of this process in the obstetrics and gynecology specialty. Understanding feminization as a process of change to be analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively, the article focuses special attention on the experiences of female obstetrician-gynecologists within a medical specialty that has since its origins functioned as a mechanism of control over women's bodies. Based on ethnographic research, the article combines statistical and archival sources and field observation.

Evaluation of a pedagogical proposal in teaching Medicine.

In this article we discuss the role that medical schools play in the creation of a particular profile of health professionals. To this end, we analyze the impact of two field experiences carried out in 2006 and 2009 with students in the Epidemiology course of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). Using individual semistructured questionnaires applied to students as well as focus group strategies, the study sought to obtain information about the ideas and representations of the students before and after these educational experiences.
