Psychometric Properties of an Instrument for Assessing University Administrators' Knowledge on Gender-Based Violence.

Objective: To evaluate the factorial structure of the instrument measuring university administrators' knowledge of gender-based violence.

Methods: This cross-sectional methodological study was conducted from August to November 2020 with 101 university administrators. Data on demographic and functional characteristics were collected, and the "QUEST VBG UNIV" instrument was applied.

The impact and the challenges of implementing a faculty development program on health professions education in a Brazilian Medical School: a case study with mixed methods.

Purpose: Faculty development in health professions education is still challenging in developing countries like Brazil. Work overload and the lack of financial support hinder faculty members' participation. Ribeirão Preto Medical School founded its Center for Faculty Development in 2016.

Perceptions of occupational therapy students and clinical tutors on the attributes of a good role model.

Background: Occupational therapy students learn in different environments, where role modelling takes place. Nevertheless, little is known about student and tutors perceptions on model´s characteristics.

Objectives: The aims of this study were to investigate the perceptions of occupational therapy students on the most important attributes of role models and to confront their views with those of clinical tutors.

Hand function in the play behavior of children with cerebral palsy.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of hand function on the occupational performance of playing for children with cerebral palsy.

Methods: Twenty children with cerebral palsy took part in the study, of both genders, aged 3-10 years, with motor abilities ranging from I to V and manual abilities from II to IV. Data were collected using the Assessment of Ludic Behaviour before and after botulinum toxin was applied in the upper limbs to reduce spasticity.

[Social interactions of preschool children with Down syndrome during extracurricular activities].

The aim of this research was to identify the process of social interaction of children with Down Syndrome (DS) during extracurricular activities in the regular early childhood education in Ribeirão Preto-SP, Brazil. Six children aged 3-6 years participated in this study. There were two recordings of each child in situations of social interaction during extracurricular activities, and analyzed by 15 behaviors, divided into two categories of social skills: interpersonal and self-expression.

Play preference of children with ADHD and typically developing children in Brazil: a pilot study.

Background/aim: Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have been reported to have play deficits, which can cause problems in occupational development. The aim of this paper was to report research findings on children with ADHD and typically developing children in relation to preference of play partners, play places, toys and type of play.
