Objective: To assess the clinical, microbiological, and patient-based effects of using a cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) toothpaste and mouth rinse in orthodontic patients.

Design: Parallel randomized controlled, triple-blinded trial (participants, examiners, outcomes' assessors). A computer-generated list was used to allocate treatments.
