Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a virus with a DNA structure that specifically targets squamous epithelial cells. In individuals with a healthy immune system, HPV infection is typically resolved naturally, leading to spontaneous regression. However, when the viral genetic material integrates into the host DNA, it can disrupt the immune response and eventually give rise to neoplastic manifestations.

Potential and real skin exposure were evaluated using filter paper pads, hand contamination by washing, and respiratory exposure by personal air sampling. Dislodgeable foliar residues (DFRs) during re-entry were determined in order to calculate the dermal transfer factor (DTF).

Concentrations of total PAH were in the range of 96-135,000 μg kg(-1) similar to other coastal urbanized embayment.

The acquisition and stabilisation of the sample is a key technical and operational challenge in analytical sequences associated with the determination of volatile organic compound (VOC) contamination of soils. Further the development of miniaturised and embedded analytical systems for environmental conditioning monitoring requires the development of new sampling techniques.
