Health actions and occupational vocal conservation: how are they being implemented?

The actions in Occupational Speech Therapy are becoming more evident with the emergence of new experiences and interventions that aim to intercept the disease process, emphasizing the prevention and protection of vocal health in the occupational context. This work aims to analyze how health and occupational vocal conservation actions are being implemented. This is an integrative literature review, whose survey was carried out from June to October 2020, in the Capes Periódicos platform, using the descriptors "worker's health" and voice.

Anxiety, Depression, and Other Factors Associated With Voice Handicaps in Active Older People During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, older people had to remain isolated, which could cause not only anxiety and depression but also voice and communication problems and lifestyle, demographic, and socioeconomic changes. This study aimed to analyze the influence of anxiety and depression and other associated factors on the voice handicap of active older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. This cross-sectional and analytical research approached older people enrolled at a reference health care unit for this age group in Recife.

Physical/functional rehabilitation in Brazil: spatiotemporal analysis of the offer in the Public Healthcare System.

The complex epidemiological profile of Brazil, the aging population and the proportion of individuals with disabilities have led to a substantial increase in the demand for rehabilitation. The spatiotemporal distribution of the offer of physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy in the Brazilian public healthcare system from 2007 to 2019 was analyzed for the five macro-regions of the country. Data from the National Register of Health Establishments and census estimates from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics were used.

Ocular findings from otoneurological examinations in children with and without dyslexia: a systematic review with meta-analysis.

Objective: To investigate ocular movements measures of vectoelectro-nystagmography and video-nystagmography in dyslexic children and compare with measures of typical children.

Methods: A systematic review of observational studies comparing the ocular movements differences between dyslexic and typical children with no publication date or language restriction. The literature survey included the bibliographic databases MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Lilacs and CENTRAL.

Evolution of the provision of speech therapists in the Brazilian public healthcare system: study on correlations with social indictors in the last decade.

Purpose: Investigate the correlation between the provision of speech therapists in the Brazilian public healthcare system and social indicators between 2007 and 2016.

Methods: An ecological study was conducted. The units of analysis were the 27 federative units of Brazil.

Access to speech-language pathology therapy and continuity of assistance in Primary Health Care for victims of motorcycle accidents.

Purpose: To verify the access to speech-language pathology (SLP) therapy and continuity of assistance in Primary Health Care (PHC) for victims of motorcycle accidents.

Methods: A quantitative and qualitative study was conducted at a large hospital in the city of Recife, Pernanbuco state, Brazil. Among the 99 victims recruited between June and July 2014, 30 had SLP complaints as a result of the accidents.

Foster care time and characteristics of adolescents under foster care by type of institutional services. Recife, Brazil, 2009-2013.

This study aimed to analyze foster care time and characteristics of adolescents in the institutional foster care services in the city of Recife. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The study population consisted of all adolescents under foster care in the city of Recife-PE, in the period 2009-2013.

Evaluation of institutional foster care services for children and adolescents in Recife.

This study aimed to evaluate the structure and process of institutional foster care services for the protection of children and adolescents who are victims of neglect and/or violence in Recife. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to those responsible for the services. Variables frequency were calculated and the following implementation level classification system adopted: critical, when compliance was less than 40% of the recommended standards; inadequate, 40-59%; acceptable, 60%-89%; adequate and excellent, 90-100%.

Family Health Team: reports of conduct on child hearing loss.

Purpose: To analyze the performance of family health teams toward the suspicion and identification of child hearing loss.

Methods: This is a case study. Data were collected in three focus groups with three family health teams of a health district in the metropolitan area of Recife, Brazil.

Purpose: To investigate factors associated with speech-language disorders in victims of motorcycle accidents.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Victims of motorcycle accidents studied were treated at Hospital da Restauração between June and July 2014.

Building the mental health care network for children and adolescents: interventions in the territory.

Children with mental disorders may develop serious adverse effects in their functional performance. A structured care network may favor psychosocial components, such as self-confidence and problem solving capacity. This work seeks to identify the care network for children with mental disorders and develop interventions in the territory, highlighting changes achieved from these actions.

[Rehabilitation care for victims of accidents and violence: the situation of the municipal districts in Pernambuco, Brazil].

A diagnostic analysis of care was conducted for rehabilitation of victims of accidents and violence in municipal districts of Pernambuco, Brazil, with over 100 thousand inhabitants. A cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out. The principles of the triangulation method were followed because the study required the input of various informers and used a variety of collection techniques.

[Health care for aged victims of accidents and violence: analysis of SUS health services in Recife (PE, Brazil)].

A situational diagnosis of the health services regarding the care of aged victims of accidents and violence (AVAV) was carried out in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. The National Policy for Reducing Accident and Violence Related Morbidity and Mortality and the National Policy for the Aged People Health were used as references. The methodology was based on the triangulation method, with both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

[Diagnostic analysis of the rehabilitation services that attend victims of accidents and violence in Recife].

This paper aims to analyze the rehabilitation services in Recife, Brazil, confronting it with what the National Policy for Decreasing Morbimortality from Accidents and Violence (NPDMAV) professes. Six units of rehabilitation services were analyzed; five were from municipal administration and the other was an ONG on an agreement with SUS. A partial structured interview was conducted with the person in charge for the Attention to the Disable Person's Health aiming to map the network.

Hearing impairment in patients with tuberculosis from Northeast Brazil.

The aim of this paper is to describe the auditory profile of subjects who were given streptomycin treatment for tuberculosis in the years 2000 and 2001, in Recife, Northeast Brazil. The Injury Notification Database at the Municipal Department of Health was consulted and 78 individuals who had been on streptomycin during the period under study were selected. Forty-two individuals were excluded, of whom five were over 59 years of age and two were under 18 years.
