Objective: To analyze the migratory process, ways of living, and working conditions of Haitians residing in the municipality of Cascavel, Paraná, as well as their impact on health conditions, consumption patterns, and political and ideological life.
Method: cross-sectional observational design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews conducted from December 2019 to December 2020 with 128 participants who were Haitian immigrants residing in the municipality.
This article describes a study based on a qualitative approach that aimed to analyze the social representations of opinion makers about the right and access to health in the cross-border territoriality of Foz do Iguaçu-Paraná. To achieve that goal, interviews were conducted with leaders of social movements, university professors, health workers and journalists. Moscovici's Social Representations Theory was used with a focus on the three-dimensional analysis to process data.

This field research aimed to identify healthcare integration among four twin cities in Paraná State, Brazil, the determinants of cross-border movements of foreigners, and the obstacles to such integration. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants that were analyzed with thematic content analysis. The results showed that asymmetries in the structure, resources, supply, and quality of the network's health services are determinants of cross-border movements.

In its 39 years of existence, although there may have been variations in the magazine's editorial policy, its role as a means for exchange of ideas and debate on critical health thinking, and making a contribution by in some way intervening in the Brazilian political process, has not changed. The magazine established itself with a firm reputation as a vehicle of scientific communication especially in the areas of health policy and management, expanding the scope of subjects over time.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis work presents the results of an experience which aimed primarily at the evaluation of the Political-Pedagogical Project--PPP of the nursing undergraduate program from UNIOESTE (Cascavel town Campus) and at pondering on a new curricular proposal for that program. Thus, a research project was designed to be used by all professors teaching that program, with the participation of students, former students, and professionals working on the health care delivery network, where field work can be carried out through practical activities and training periods for the students. The data gathered by them have been used as subsidies for a proposal to build a new political-pedagogical project, that was took effect in the year 2003.
