Objectives: To evaluate the accuracy and prognostic impact of BMI assessed by PET/CT and BMB in a large series of MCL patients.
Methods: We deconstructed the IPI-NCCN, MIPI, and MIPI-c indices and considered BMI as positive if indicated by a BMB, PET/CT scan, or a combination of both.
Background: Protein-coding genes have been considered the functional part of the genome, although they represent only 2% of the genome. In contrast, more than 90% of the genome produces non-coding RNA (ncRNA), including antisense (AS) genes, a type of long non-coding genes (encoding transcripts > 200 nucleotides) located on the opposite strand of coding genes. Therefore, antisense RNA (asRNA) can be complementary to the counterpart sense RNA, supporting a regulatory role with potential pathogenic consequences, as their deregulation has been associated with cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes.

These samples are often the only available material for accurate diagnosis and for performing ancillary studies, such as immunocytochemistry (ICC) or the detection of molecular biomarkers.

This study's primary objective was to identify individuals whose physiological responses deviated from the rest of the study population by automatically monitoring atmospheric pressure levels to which they are exposed and using parameters derived from their heart rate variability (HRV). To achieve this, 28 volunteers were placed in a dry hyperbaric chamber, where they experienced varying pressures from 1 to 5 atmospheres, with five sequential stops lasting five minutes each at different atmospheric pressures. The HRV was dissected into two components: the respiratory component, which is linked to respiration; and the residual component, which is influenced by factors beyond respiration.
