This study evaluated the explanatory factors of humoral immune response in older adults admitted to long-term care institutions in Buenos Aires, Argentina, up to 180 days after vaccination. An open-label, prospective, multicenter cohort study was conducted with volunteers who received two doses of the Sputnik V, Sinopharm, or AZD1222 vaccines. Plasma samples were analyzed at 0 and 21 days after the first dose, 21 days after the second dose, and 120 and 180 days after the first dose.

The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) and cardiovascular risk factors in a rural population in the province of San Luis, Argentina. Cross-sectional study developed between September and November 2017 with 18-year-old inhabitants and more than four towns in the Juan Martín de Pueyrredón department, San Luis. The participants answered questions by self-report on sociodemographic aspects, habits, psychosocial and risk factors for non-communicable diseases; physical measurements, FINDIRSC questionnaire and blood sample extraction were performed.

Methods: A cross-sectional design was used. The reference population was the inhabitants of 18 years and over from the towns of Beazley, Zanjitas, Alto Pelado and Cazador, Juan M.
The aim of this study was to estimate the mortality burden according to major groups of causes, with a focus on diabetes mellitus, as well as differences according to the presence or absence of health coverage for Argentina as a whole and its regions. The study used the mortality database for individuals 30 years or older in 2009-2011, stratified by sex, age bracket, region, underlying cause of death, and health coverage. We calculated the mortality rates and years of life lost due to premature mortality (YLLs).
