Objective: To describe clinical, microbiological and echocardiographic aspects of endocarditis in a specific group of patients without intracardiac devices or underlying structural heart disease.
Method: Retrospective study, clinical records and echocardiographic reports were reviewed during the period 1997 to 2020. Duke's modified criteria were applied.
Background: Sarcoptic mange is one of the main parasitic diseases affecting the Iberian ibex Capra pyrenaica. Scabietic animals suffer a decline in body condition and reproductive fitness and in severe cases may die. Although several previous studies of the pathology of this disease and the physiological changes it produces in ibex have been carried out in recent years, our knowledge of the relationship between Sarcoptes scabiei and other ectoparasites of this host is still limited.

It has been associated with bronchiectasis between 17%-76%, and these with the presence of cardiovascular complications such as pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. The new image methods of diagnosis, to assess the cardiovascular structural and functional conformation of adult patients with bronchiectasis, help to establish more efficient and timely diagnoses.
