Chronic cytomegalovirus (CMV) villitis typically causes inflammation with predominance of plasma cells. The granulomatous reaction in the chorionic villi is usually caused by pathogens other than CMV, such as toxoplasma or rubella. We present a case of a pregnant woman presenting with foetal death in the twentieth week of gestation.

Primary myxoid pulmonary sarcoma is a rare entity with an endobronchial growth. Although it should be included in the differential diagnosis of other sarcomas, its prognosis is usually favorable. We present the case of a 51-year-old patient with a mesenchymal tumor in the right lung, diagnosed as a primary pulmonary myxoid sarcoma, positive for EMA, vimentine and with a Ki-67 less than 5%; FISH revealed a EWSR1-CREB1 translocation.

For these patients, long-term survival rates above 95% are reported after surgical resection. Here we report a case of a 9-year-old girl with a high grade locally advanced mucoepidermoid carcinoma undergoing adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy after surgery.
