Background: The aim of this study was to explore the effectiveness of Internet-delivered cognitive-behavioral therapy (iCBT) in treating fibromyalgia (FM) compared with an identical protocol using conventional group face-to-face CBT.
Methods: Sixty participants were assigned to either (a) the waiting list group, (b) the CBT group, or (c) the iCBT group. The groups were assessed at baseline, after 10 weeks of treatment, and at 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-ups.
Aim: This paper is a report of a study of the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Childbirth Self-efficacy Inventory.
Background: Enhancing the confidence of women in their ability to cope with pain in labour is a key element of effective childbirth education programs. The Childbirth Self-efficacy Inventory is a suitable instrument for testing hypotheses about the development of self-efficacy for childbirth.
Background: Internet psychology services are rapidly increasing and that implies online assessment. To guarantee the results of these new online evaluation procedures, it is necessary to have reliable and valid assessment tools.
Objective: In this work we analyzed the online versions of two popular psychopathology screening questionnaires: the General Health Questionnaire-28 (GHQ-28) and the Symptoms Check-List-90-Revised (SCL-90-R).
Objective: As the expanding field of psychophysiology is currently demanding applied methodologies to be used in the clinic, this study aimed to develop a practical multi-channel exploratory battery for psychophysiological evaluation of stress (the Psychophysiological Stress Profile; PSP). The PSP records 6 psychophysiological variables and it is designed to be mainly used in the daily clinic. Moreover, the PSP was intended to be 'the method' to obtain normative and individual psychophysiological patterns, providing relevant information for the therapeutic process.
