There is a lack of standardized measurement tools globally to assess knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of expecting women toward prenatal screening. The purpose of this systematic review was to identify reasons women pursue or decline prenatal screening and compare the strengths and limitations of available measurement tools used to assess pregnant women's perceptions, knowledge, and attitudes toward prenatal screening. This review followed the five-step York methodology by Arksey and O'Malley and incorporated recommendations from the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis checklist for the extraction, analysis, and presentation of results.

Osteoporosis is a common disease, particularly prevalent in geriatric populations, which causes significant worldwide morbidity due to increased bone fragility and fracture risk. Currently, the gold-standard modality for diagnosis and evaluation of osteoporosis progression and treatment relies on dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), which measures bone mineral density (BMD) and calculates a score based upon standard deviation of measured BMD from the mean. However, other imaging modalities can also be used to evaluate osteoporosis.

A 27-year-old man with polysubstance abuse including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and 1.5 years of electronics compressed gas duster inhalation presented following an assault. Radiologic imaging performed for suspected fractures revealed periosteal reaction, cortical thickening with increased bone density, and ligament and tendon ossification, which were not present on imaging obtained 3 years before presentation.

There are global increased interests to identify novel agents that can possess anti-tumor effects or maximize the anti-tumor effects of low doses for conventional anti-cancer drugs. The aim of this study was to investigate anti-tumor effects and protective role of isolated hesperidin from sweet orange on doxorubicin-induced toxicity in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) bearing mice. Tumor cells were injected into Swiss albino mice followed by hesperidin administration either alone or in combination with doxorubicin.
