Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with CKD or end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) have unique medical, dental, psychosocial, neurocognitive, and academic needs and require close interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize their care. The etiology of CKD in AYAs is diverse compared to older adults.
