How modular protein nanoparticles may expand the ability of subunit anti-viral vaccines: The spring viremia carp virus (SVCV) case.

Spring viremia of carp (SVC) remains as a vaccine orphan disease mostly affecting juvenile specimens. Young fish are especially difficult to vaccinate and oral administration of vaccine combined with food would be the election system to minimise stress and the vaccination costs associated to injection. However, administration of prophylactics with food pellets faces off several drawbacks mainly related with vaccine degradation and weak protection correlates of oral vaccines.

Evaluation of Nursing Service Management Model applied in hospitals managed by social health organization.

Objective: Evaluate the Hospital Nursing Service Management Model from the perspective of nurses from hospitals managed by social health organization, considering the type and dimensions of the model.

Methods: This is an exploratory, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach; census population. The evaluation was conducted in 15 hospitals based on the Index of Professional Nursing Governance, including the descriptive analysis of the k-means method and multiple linear regression to score the instrument.

Implementation of the Nursing Services Management Model in 16 hospitals.

Objectives: to describe the main aspects and relevant results of the implementation of the Nursing Services Management Model in hospitals managed by social health organization, from 1998 to 2018.

Methods: experience report of the model implemented in 16 hospitals in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Results: the actions and monitoring of the implementation were based on protocols considering: management model and structure of the nursing service in hospitals; care process and main nursing care results; and people development.

Assessment of nurses' knowledge about magnetic resonance imaging in a university hospital in Sao Paulo.

The aims of this descriptive study were to determine the academic profile of nurses in a university hospital, assess their level of knowledge about magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and verify whether this knowledge was acquired during their undergraduate or graduate education. Ninety randomly selected nurses working in inpatient wards and outpatient units of a university hospital participated in the study. Data were collected through a questionnaire completed by the participants between August and October 2009.

[Computerized system for managing nursing care indicators at Hospital São Paulo].

Indicators are tools that permit to define parameters that will be used to make comparisons between a result and its expected value, as well as to add a value of judgement in this regard. The purpose of this study is to describe the experience of a group of nurses in the development of a computerized system to manage nursing care indicators at Hospital São Paulo. Four stages were used to implement the indicator management system: developing a nursing care indicator handbook; performing a manually registered pilot test; developing the computerized system; and performing the pilot test of the computerized system in eleven units at the hospital.
