Vaccination Coverage at Birth in Brazil: Spatial and Temporal Trends in the Impact of COVID-19 on Uptake of BCG and Hepatitis B Vaccines.

Introduction: Vaccines are a significant public health achievement, which are crucial for child survival and disease control globally. In Brazil, the National Immunization Program (PNI) manages vaccination schedules, including essential vaccines like BCG and Hepatitis B, administered at birth. Despite achieving over 95% coverage for years, vaccination rates have declined since 2016, a trend exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

International Migration, Refugees, and Spread of Tuberculosis in Brazil: Analysis of Clusters, Trends, and Associated Factors (2010-2021).

Background: International migration is a global phenomenon with significant implications on the health-disease process due to exposures along transit routes and local/destination epidemiological indicators. We aimed to analyze the transmission and spread of tuberculosis among international migrants and refugees from a spatiotemporal perspective and the associated factors.

Method: This was an ecological study of cases of tuberculosis in international migrants in Brazil, between 2010 and 2021.

Vaccination coverage in children under one year of age and associated socioeconomic factors: maps of spatial heterogeneity.

Objective: to analyze vaccination coverage spatial distribution in children under one year old and the socioeconomic factors associated with meeting the recommended goals in Minas Gerais.

Methods: an ecological study, carried out in 853 municipalities in the state. Pentavalent, poliomyelitis, meningococcal conjugate, yellow fever, rotavirus, and 10-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccination coverage were analyzed.

Health condition, income loss, food insecurity and other social inequities among migrants and refugees during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil.

Background: Brazil is the destination of many international migrants and refugees and, given the circumstances of their entry into the country, many face difficulties due to the absence of targeted policies. Thus, the objective of this study was to survey the social impact of COVID-19 on international migrants and refugees regarding income loss, food insecurity and other social inequities, and to identify explanatory factors on these aspects.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional, analytical study.

Implementation of the e-SUS Primary Care system: Impact on the routine of Primary Health Care professionals.

Objective: to understand how the implementation of the e-SUS Primary Care system has been processed and its impact on the daily life of the health teams.

Method: a qualitative research study, conducted in a municipality in the inland of the state of São Paulo with professionals who work in Primary Health Care and use the e-SUS Primary Care system as a work tool. Semi-structured interviews and thematic data analysis were used with Kotter's three-phase approach.

Evaluation of the performance of Tuberculosis Control Programs in Brazil and Spain: an integrative review of the literature.

This is an integrative review of the literature, which sought to locate evidence regarding the evaluation of the performance of tuberculosis control programs in the Brazilian and Spanish contexts. Articles indexed in databases, search directories and virtual libraries produced in Brazil and Spain from 2002 to 2013 were selected. A total of 17 articles (9 Brazilian and 8 Spanish) were included for analysis.

Weaknesses of vaccine storage in Primary Healthcare Centers.

Objective: assessment through qualitative approach of vaccine storage in Primary Healthcare Centers.

Method: assessment study of qualitative approach in which 30 interviews were conducted with nurses, nursing technicians or assistants and technical reference in immunization, in 12 vaccine rooms that had 100% of the structural criteria evaluated. Recorded testimonials of the subjects were organized and analyzed using thematic Content Analysis.

[Assessment of quality of vaccine storage and conservation in primary health care centers].

This is an evaluative study of the quality of vaccine storage and conservation in primary health care centers (PHC) in the mid-west region of the state of Minas Gerais. Dimensions, structures and processes were the criteria used to measure the level of quality in 261 vaccine storage and conservation units in over 55 municipalities in the area. Quality levels were defined by means of a scoring system with different weighted scores attributed to indicators for each dimension being rated.
