Background: Brazil is the destination of many international migrants and refugees and, given the circumstances of their entry into the country, many face difficulties due to the absence of targeted policies. This is an integrative review of the literature, which sought to locate evidence regarding the evaluation of the performance of tuberculosis control programs in the Brazilian and Spanish contexts. Articles indexed in databases, search directories and virtual libraries produced in Brazil and Spain from 2002 to 2013 were selected. A total of 17 articles (9 Brazilian and 8 Spanish) were included for analysis.

Method: assessment study of qualitative approach in which 30 interviews were conducted with nurses, nursing technicians or assistants and technical reference in immunization, in 12 vaccine rooms that had 100% of the structural criteria evaluated. This is an evaluative study of the quality of vaccine storage and conservation in primary health care centers (PHC) in the mid-west region of the state of Minas Gerais. Dimensions, structures and processes were the criteria used to measure the level of quality in 261 vaccine storage and conservation units in over 55 municipalities in the area. Quality levels were defined by means of a scoring system with different weighted scores attributed to indicators for each dimension being rated.
