Background: Bronchopleural fistula (BPF) is a severe complication of pulmonary resection associated with high morbidity and mortality. Treatment options include both surgical and endoscopic procedures. The size of the fistula and the functional status of the patient are decisive factors in the choice of treatment.

Methods: We performed a double-blind, randomized metformin-placebo study.
Physiological and pathological processes differ in men and women, depending on factors such as sex and sociological and anthropological characteristics. However, many diseases are still approached from a masculine point of view. In this respect, ischemic heart disease is one of the diseases that most clearly reflects biological differences and social inequalities.

Strict protective measures in the unloading process were established in 1998 to avoid the release of soybean dust into the atmosphere.
