The aim of the present study was to analyze the association between parental eating behavior and untreated early childhood caries (ECC). A cross-sectional study was conducted with a representative sample of 432 parent-child dyads with children aged 18 to 36 months, at Municipal Child Education Centers in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil. Periostitis ossificans (PO) is a type of osteomyelitis stemming from an odontogenic infection, generally found in children and adolescents, and often leads to the loss of the involved tooth.
