Domestic Violence in Pregnancy during the Pandemic Era: a Systematic Review.

Introduction: Women, and mainly pregnant ones, have been always highly vulnerable to domestic violence/intimate partner violence (DV/IPV) throughout their lives. Covid-19 pandemic brought new unprecedented living conditions that raised the rates of DV during pregnancy. Investigating the association between Covid-19 and DV in pregnant women may help government and community groups seeking to reduce DV/IPV in vulnerable populations in order to better understand the prevalence of this phenomenon and its associated factors and thus find ways to ensure control and stop domestic violence, as the society and health care systems are still disorganized in the way they deal with the DV against pregnant women.

Healthcare Professionals' Attitudes and Practices According to Their Recommendations on Exercise during the First Trimester of Pregnancy: A Greek Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: The aim of this study is to investigate healthcare professionals' attitudes and practices when it comes to their recommendations on exercise during the first trimester of pregnancy and to highlight the factors that influence or predict these attitudes.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between January 2022 and March 2023, on a sample of 237 Greek healthcare professionals (midwives and obstetricians) employed in healthcare settings in Attica/Greece. In the statistical analysis, eight independent models of multivariate analyses of variance were conducted.

Breastfeeding Intention and Breastfeeding Postpartum Outcomes between High-Risk and Low-Risk Pregnant Women: A Greek Prospective Cohort Study.

Background: This prospective cohort study, conducted from pregnancy to six months postpartum and grounded in STROBE methodology, quantitatively explores the relationship between antenatal breastfeeding intentions and subsequent breastfeeding outcomes among high-risk pregnant women, compared to a low-risk pregnancy group.

Methods: The study was conducted in one of the largest public hospitals in Attica that provides care to pregnant women, enrolling 380 participants divided into high-risk ( = 200) and low-risk ( = 180) cohorts. Background: Few studies have correlated maternal and neonatal Vit D (25(OH)D) levels at birth in Greece. The Relation between Birth with Cesarean Section and Posttraumatic Stress in Postpartum Women.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between cesarean section and postpartum posttraumatic stress disorder as well as the factors that contribute to the development of posttraumatic symptoms in mothers. A sample of 538 women who gave birth with emergency and elective cesarean section in a University Hospital of Thessaly, Greece, have consented to participate in a two-phase prospective study. A socio-demographic questionnaire, the stressor Criterion A, the Life Events Checklist and the Posttraumatic Checklist of the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5) were used to diagnose posttraumatic symptoms in Greek postpartum mothers.
