: Interstitial fibrosis/tubular atrophy in kidney transplantation is an unspecific lesion induced by immune and non-immune factors, which determines the progression of chronic kidney disease. Hydroxyproline is an imino acid that is part of the molecule of collagen. The aim of this study was to assess hydroxyproline in urine microvesicles as a marker of fibrosis in the renal transplant patient.

Methods: Glutamyl aminopeptidase (GluAp), alanyl aminopeptidase (AlaAp), dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4), proteinuria, albuminuria, N-acetyl-β--glucosaminidase (NAG), and neutrophile gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) were measured in urine samples from 44 patients at arrival in the intensive care unit (ICU) after cardiac surgery.

BACKGROUND The incidence of glomerular disease recurrence in kidney transplant patients varies according to type of glomerulopathy; therefore, it is important to know the primary chronic kidney disease etiology. C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is characterized by deposits of C3 in immunofluorescence and its pathogeny is based on the dysregulation of the alternative complement pathway. C3G has a high recurrence rate and, given its low prevalence, only case series have been published.

Methods: This registry-based study involved 6080 dialysis and kidney transplant (KT) patients with COVID-19, representing roughly 10% of total Spanish KRT patients.
Background: Despite all efforts, the incidence of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection has been high in renal transplant recipients, as in other groups (eg, older adults, patients with comorbidities or immunosuppression). The detection of any possible predictor of gravity could improve the early approach in these patients.
Patients And Methods: We registered data from renal transplant recipients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) infection in our area for a year (March 2020 to March 2021).
Background: Few studies have analyzed differences in clinical presentation and outcomes in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) across different pandemic waves.
Methods: In this multicenter, nationwide, prospective study, we compared demographics and clinical features, therapeutic management, and outcomes in SOT recipients diagnosed with COVID-19 in Spain before (first wave) or after (second wave) 13 July 2020.
Results: Of 1634 SOT recipients, 690 (42.
