A longer duration of symtoms in painful hip pathologies that require surgery can be a risk factor for a worsening of the condition with an impact on postoperative outcome and for the development of a nociplastic pain condition in teenagers. It is important to have a multiprofessional care with the knowledge and competence to break the vicious circles that may be induced by a painful orthopedic condition. This case report describes the multiprofessional treatment of an adolescent with left-sided hip physeolysis who developed a severe pain condition.

Aim: To evaluate if internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (ICBT-i) with brief therapist support outperforms an active control treatment.

Method: Adults diagnosed with insomnia were recruited via media (n = 148) and randomized to either eight weeks of ICBT-i or an active internet-based control treatment. Primary outcome was the insomnia severity index (ISI) assessed before and after treatment, with follow-ups after 6 and 12 months.
