Women's perception of labor and birth care: obstacles to humanization.

Objectives: to understand women's perception regarding the care received during labor and birth.

Methods: this is a descriptive-exploratory, qualitative study carried out with 54 postpartum women from hospitals in the Metropolitan Region II of the state of Rio de Janeiro, from January to December 2018, using semi-structured interviews submitted to content analysis.

Results: puerperal women's perceptions about the childbirth care they received indicated the use of interventions, such as pressure maneuvers on the uterine fundus during the expulsion period - Kristeller maneuver, episiotomy and repeated vaginal examination and without consent.

Breastfeeding booklet in prison institutions: initiative for promotion, protection and support.

Objectives: to understand the use of the booklet on breastfeeding in prison in times of COVID 19 by managers and health professionals who work with pregnant and breastfeeding women deprived of their liberty.

Methods: this is a descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach, carried out from March to December 2020. Thirteen professionals who work in Brazilian prison institutions participated in the study and answered a semi-structured interview.

Humanized childbirth: the values of health professionals in daily obstetric care.

Objective: To understand health professionals' values in the process of thinking and feeling about obstetric care, based on their experienced needs in the care process.

Methods: Phenomenological study based on the Schelerian framework, with 48 health professionals from four maternity hospitals within the Metropolitan Region II of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Data collection was done through a phenomenological interview; and the analysis, with the Ricoeurian methodological framework.

Nurse-midwives reconfiguring care in the scope of labor and births in COVID-19 times.

Objectives: to analyze how the nurse-midwives of maternity wards that were fields of practice for an improvement course in obstetrics have reorganized care in the context of labor and birth amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: this is a descriptive, exploratory and qualitative study carried out with nine nurse-midwives who are preceptors and collaborators in maternity wards that were fields of practice for an improvement course, between February and April 2020, through a semi-structured interview through WhatsApp®. Content analysis was used to treat the information.
