White adipose tissue uptake on F FDG PET/CT: A case report.

Three distinct types of adipose tissue have been characterized: brown, white, and beige. Brown adipose tissue (BAT) is typically found in specific regions including the anterior cervical, supraclavicular, axillary, and paravertebral areas. White adipose tissue (WAT) predominantly resides in subcutaneous layers, intramuscular spaces and among visceral organs, while beige adipose tissue is a subtype of WAT and is found interspersed within WAT deposits.

CLIPPERS associated with hypersensitivity pneumonitis: a case report.

Chronic lymphocytic inflammation with pontine perivascular enhancement responsive to steroids (CLIPPERS) is a rare and poorly understood pathology. In this case report we present a 51-year-old male that presented with neurological deficits with recent hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Imaging studies showed multiple punctate enhancing lesions involving the brainstem.

White matter correlates of slowed information processing speed in unimpaired multiple sclerosis patients with young age onset.

Slowed information processing speed is among the earliest markers of cognitive impairment in multiple sclerosis (MS) and has been associated with white matter (WM) structural integrity. Localization of WM tracts associated with slowing, but not significant impairment, on specific cognitive tasks in pediatric and young age onset MS can facilitate early and effective therapeutic intervention. Diffusion tensor imaging data were collected on 25 MS patients and 24 controls who also underwent the Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT) and the computer-based Cogstate simple and choice reaction time tests.
