is one of the causal agents of bacterial spot, a disease that seriously affects the production of tomato () and pepper () worldwide. In Argentina, bacterial spot is found in all tomato producing areas, with being one of the main species detected in the fields. Previously, we isolated three strains BNM 208, BNM 214, and BNM 216 from tomato plants with bacterial spot, and found they differed in their ability to form biofilm and in their degree of aggressiveness.

Arabidopsis plants harboring mutations in theMIR394 genes exhibit early flowering, lower expression of floral repressor FLC and higher expression of floral integrators FT and SOC1. Plant development occurs throughout its entire life cycle and involves a phase transition between vegetative and reproductive phases, leading to the flowering process, fruit formation and ultimately seed production.
