The current global water crisis has prompted research into technologies that can reuse different water resources to mitigate water scarcity. The use of treated greywater can be proposed to provide additional water resources. By reusing this water in different applications, this water crisis can be mitigated at the local scale.

The modified electrode was characterized via field emission scanning electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry, which revealed a homogeneous distribution of spherical agglomerates of SWCNH on the electrode surface. The modification increased the electrochemically active area from 0.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving patients diagnosed with AL amyloidosis and renal involvement between January 1, 2010, and April 30, 2022 at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires.
Amyloidosis are a group of diseases in which soluble proteins aggregate and deposit in fibrillar conformation extracellularly in tissues. The effectiveness of therapeutic strategies depends on the specific protein involved, being crucial to accurately determine its nature. Moreover, following the diagnosis, the search for the mutation within relatives allows the clinical advice.

Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) has been found to be correlated with adverse outcomes in patients with HF. This study aims to assess whether the presence of significant TR is associated to adverse cardiac outcomes in patients diagnosed with ATTR-CM.

However, the lack of conductivity of these materials requires a conductor material to support them and improve the activity toward HER. On the other hand, carbon paste electrodes result in a versatile and cheap electrode with good activity and conductivity in electrocatalytic hydrogen production, especially when the carbonaceous material is agglomerated with ionic liquids.

Introduction: Chia and flax seeds are rich in alphalinolenic acid (ALA), which is bioconverted into the active derivatives eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA) having multiple beneficial effects. However, there is limited knowledge about the antiinflammatory effects of chia and flax integral flours diets rich in ALA.
Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the antiinflammatory effect of dietary supplementation with integral chia and flax flours in a murine model of LPSinduced systemic inflammation.

The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) and cardiovascular risk factors in a rural population in the province of San Luis, Argentina. Cross-sectional study developed between September and November 2017 with 18-year-old inhabitants and more than four towns in the Juan Martín de Pueyrredón department, San Luis. The participants answered questions by self-report on sociodemographic aspects, habits, psychosocial and risk factors for non-communicable diseases; physical measurements, FINDIRSC questionnaire and blood sample extraction were performed.

Most functional response studies were carried out using simple experimental designs where the insects were confined to a plain and small arena with different host densities during a fixed period of time. With these designs, other factors that might affect the functional response of parasitoids were not analyzed, such as fecundity, age, and experience.

Method: Case series of consecutive patients diagnosed with AL amyloidosis who received OHT followed by ASCT from the Institutional Registry of Amyloidosis of the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires, between January 2010 and November 2021. FLC values between transplants and at year post ASCT.
Light chain amyloidosis (AL) is a rare and underdiagnosed disease. The best treatment available is autologous bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Cardiac involvement is the main prognostic determinant in this pathology and sometimes an impediment to receive BMT.

Currently, DDX4, SSEA1, and Oct4 are used to identify germ cells. Other germline cell-associated molecules are N-cadherin, GnRHR, and 3β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3βHSD), which have been used in mice and birds during gonadal development; however, its role in early gonadogenesis in birds is poorly described.

Students from a rural school in Northeast Brazil ( = 90) completed questionnaires on sociodemographic characteristics, food consumption, physical activity, and a name generator. Social networks were constructed using students' social proximity ties.

This study aimed to explore the effect of craniofacial MLD in combination with pharmacological treatment for improving cranial pain intensity, vital signs, and cerebral edema (Hounsfield units, HUs) in moderate traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Patient 1 received pharmacological therapy, while patient 2 received both pharmacological and craniocervical MLD treatment.

The glassy carbon electrode modified with poly indol-6-carboxylic acid (6-PICA) applied the cyclic voltammetry technique presented a more homogeneous size distribution of nanowires with greater adherence allowing the direct immobilization of the antibodies (IgG-Ab) to detect the biomarker IgG-Ag. Additionally, 6-PICA presents the most stable and reproducible electrochemical response used as an analytical signal for developing a label-free electrochemical immunosensor.

Previous studies analyzing event-related potentials (ERPs) associated with attentional networks have focused on phasic alertness, orienting, and executive control, without an independent measure of vigilance. ERPs associated with vigilance have been instead measured in separate studies and via different tasks.

A program for the hematologic patient at very high risk of infections (HAR, from its initials in Spanish) was implemented, based on a multidisciplinary team and six measures intended to reduce the colonization and subsequent sepsis by multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO). We aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of the HAR program in terms of MDRO infections mainly caused by carbapenemase-producing and multidrug-resistant , and sepsis-related mortality. We established retrospective comparisons between the pre-HAR period (2016-2018) and the post-HAR period (2018-2019), in patients who received a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) and/or intensive chemotherapy to treat non-M3 acute myeloid leukemia (CH-AML).

Two of these undescribed species were registered as invasive in Central and North America: Hyp-C is a cactophagous mealybug that became an important pest that threatens endemic cactus species in Puerto Rico, and Hyp-AP feeds on Amaranthaceae and Portulacaceae hosts, but does not produce severe damage to the host plants. We quantified genomic variation and investigated the demographic history of both invasive species by means of coalescent-based simulations using high throughput sequencing data.
