The potential environmental risk of glyphosate has promoted the need for decontamination of glyphosate-polluted water bodies. These treatments should be accompanied by studies of the recovery potential of aquatic communities and ecosystems. Pseudo-first- and second-order and intra-particle diffusion models were applied to describe the kinetic data and to evaluate the rate constants. The adsorption kinetics of all the metals follows a pseudo-second-order model.

Incomplete surveillance coverage and reduced residuality of temephos were held as the main putative causes limiting effectiveness of control actions.
Methodology: The duration of temephos residual effects in household-owned water-holding tanks (the most productive container type and main target for control) was estimated prospectively in two trials.
