Kidney transplantation (KT) is the preferred treatment for end-stage renal diseases. Human leukocyte antigen G (HLA-G) and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) have notable clinical and therapeutic significance in transplantation because of their roles in promoting tolerance.
