Objective: To assess oral cancer awareness, its associated factors and related sources of information among a selected group of Malaysians.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on all Malaysian ethnic groups aged ≥15 years old at eight strategically chosen shopping malls within a two week time period. Data were analysed using chi-square tests and multiple logistic regression.
Aim: This study aimed to establish a safety zone for the placement of mini-implants in the buccal surface between the second maxillary premolar (PM2) and first maxillary molar (M1) of Mongoloids.
Methods: Thirty-two digital orthopantomograms of Mongoloids were selected and the interdental distance between the second premolar and first molar at 2, 5, 8 and 11 mm from the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) was measured. The distance between the PM2 and M1 root apices and from the apices to the maxillary sinus was also determined.

Introduction: Several molecular markers have been studied for their usefulness as prognostic markers in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). One such molecular marker is cyclin D1 which is a proto-oncogene located on 11q13 in humans.
Objective: To explore the feasibility of using cyclin D1 as a prognostic marker in tongue and cheek SCC by the fluorescent-in-situ hybridization (FISH) method.
