Background: Insulinomas are the most common type of functioning endocrine neoplasms of the pancreas presenting hypoglycemic symptoms. Repeated and prolonged hypoglycemic episodes can reduce the awareness of adrenergic symptoms, and patients may have amnesia, which delays diagnosis.
