Relapsed/refractory peripheral T cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are aggressive tumors with a poor prognosis. Unlike B cell lymphomas, treatment of PTCL has not benefited from advances in immunotherapy. This is largely due to a lack of suitable target antigens that discriminate malignant from normal T cells, thus avoiding severe immunosuppression consequent to depletion of the entire T cell compartment.

Purpose: To evaluate the classification performance of structured report features, radiomics, and machine learning (ML) models to differentiate between Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and other types of pneumonia using chest computed tomography (CT) scans.

Methods: Sixty-four COVID-19 subjects and 64 subjects with non-COVID-19 pneumonia were selected. The data was split into two independent cohorts: one for the structured report, radiomic feature selection and model building ( = 73), and another for model validation ( = 55).

Efforts have been made to understand the physiological and pathological role of DJ-1, a Parkinson's disease (PD)-associated protein, to provide new insights into PD pathophysiology. Such studies have revealed several neuroprotective roles of DJ-1, from which its ability to modulate signaling pathways seems to be of utmost importance for cell death regulation by DJ-1. Indeed, research on these topics has led to a higher number of publications disclosing a variety of mechanisms through which DJ-1 is able to modulate signaling pathways in distinct disease-related contexts.

Although obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is not considered a risk factor for COVID-19, studies have observed that these two conditions have comorbidities in common such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, asthma, obesity, hypertension, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Thus, one may question the possible contribution of OSAS to the worsening of hypoxemia in patients with COVID-19 since OSAS and obesity (hypoventilation) are associated with hypoxemia, which can be a worsening factor in the hypoxemia of COVID-19 pneumonia. Moreover, one may question whether sleep deprivation would negatively interfere with the pulmonary condition caused by COVID-19.

B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is a promising therapeutic target for multiple myeloma (MM), but expression is variable, and early reports of BCMA targeting chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) suggest antigen downregulation at relapse. Dual-antigen targeting increases targetable tumor antigens and reduces the risk of antigen-negative disease escape. "A proliferation-inducing ligand" (APRIL) is a natural high-affinity ligand for BCMA and transmembrane activator and calcium-modulator and cyclophilin ligand (TACI).
